9/11/03:  We still have George.  He’s 17 years old now (2003).  Once he was a great warrior; now he has a hard time getting around.  I am dreading the day when he goes.  Impermanence!!

Update - 10/4/03:  George died last week.  We had to put him down.  It was so painful.  Only those that have this deep love of animals will understand how painful this is.  To see the life go out of his body forever, tore my heart out.  We have had him for over seventeen years.  He was such a part of the family.  He was so noble and such a great warrior.  Everyone who met him loved him.  The one who gave him to us, Keith Ferguson, is gone now too. Stevie, who’s idea it was to name him George Jones, is gone. Check out that previous picture of Stevie laying on the floor with the little kitten at his nose -- that’s George.

I thank God that that beautiful little life came into mine.  I will love him forever.
