Jimmy Vaughan and I, at what I believe was the Tribute to Stevie show at Austin City Limits.  I was the only one that played every single song that show.  It was a great show.  Everyone played that night.  B.B King, Buddy Guy, Eric Clapton, Bonnie Raitt, Ivan Neville, Dr. John, Chris, Reese, and I’m sure I’ve forgotten some.  It wasn’t long after Stevie’s death and was very emotional for many of us.  For a long time after Stevie’s death, I felt out of place, whenever I played.  I can’t explain it, but it always seemed like something was missing.  Sometimes I felt like I was all alone in a crowd of thousands, and I was waiting for that sound of his guitar, at any moment.  It never came, except in my heart.
